T
Rajendar,
commonly
known
as
T.R
is
considered
as
a
one
man
cinema
for
his
versatile
knowledge.
He
is
an
actor,
director,
producer,
music
composer,
cinematographer,
screenwriter
and
also
playback
singer.
However,
he
is
most
often
roasted
and
mimicked
to
induce
laughter,
thanks
to
his
extreme
passion
towards
cinema
which
he
expresses
most
often
with
zest.
Riding
on
his
popularity,
a
single
track
named
'Dandanakka'
from
Jayam
Ravi's
upcoming
movie
Romeo
Juliet
became
an
instant
hit
in
visual
media,
FM
and
internet.
The
song
is
penned
by
Rokesh
of
'Danga
Maari'
fame
and
is
sung
by
famed
musician
Anirudh.
It
is
dedicated
to
T.R,
according
to
its
composer
D
Imman.
But,
surprisingly,
T
Rajendar
is
apparently
upset
with
the
team
of
Romeo
Juliet
for
using
his
name
and
some
of
his
film
dialogues
in
the
song.
His
reaction?
A
legal
notice
to
stop
the
song
and
its
related
promos.
According
to
a
source,
T.R
has
confirmed
that
a
legal
action
has
been
taken
by
his
lawyer,
who
now
might
force
the
makers
of
the
film
to
omit
the
song
from
the
movie.
However,
producer
Nanthagopal
has
revealed
that
the
song
was
crafted
to
praise
T.R
and
not
to
disrespect
him
in
any
way.
He
also
added
that
Jayam
Ravi
plays
an
ardent
fan
of
him(T.R)
and
that
the
situation
demanded
the
song.
"We
are
confident
that
T.R
will
understand
our
perspective,
we
are
even
ready
to
arrange
a
special
screening
for
him
if
he
is
willing,
we
want
to
meet
him
in
person
to
explain
the
reason
for
using
his
name
in
the
song," he
said.
