Thala
Ajith's
Vedalam
(Vedhalam)
has
crossed
the
50
Crore
mark
at
the
Tamil
Nadu
box
office
alone,
by
the
end
of
its
opening
week
(first
6
days),
according
to
multiple
sources.
The
total
worldwide
box
office
collections
may
cross
100
Crore
rupees
by
the
end
of
this
week.
With
the
rain
gods
showing
no
hints
of
mercy,
Tamil
Nadu
is
still
tottering
towards
warmth
and
safety.
Perhaps
on
its
way
to
a
dry
place,
the
state
has
converged
into
cinema
halls
showcasing
Vedalam,
it
seems.
Vedalam
has
done
well
in
its
neighbouring
states
as
well.
It
has
reportedly
piled
on
5.8
Crores
and
4.3
Crores
in
Karnataka
and
Kerala
respectively.
From
the
rest
of
India,
the
Ajith-Shruti
Haasan
starrer
has
grossed
1.86
Crores,
it
is
said.
But
some
major
contributions
have
flown
in
from
foreign
countries
as
it
is
being
widely
reported
that
the
film
has
managed
to
collect
a
whopping
21
Crores
(approx)
from
outside
India.
If
the
above
mentioned
numbers
turn
out
to
be
true,
then
the
overall
box
office
gross
of
Vedalam
from
all
over
the
world
now
stands
at
an
impressive
88.86
Crore
rupees
from
its
first
6
days.
