Happy
Dussehra
folks;
and
it's
a
special
Dussehra
for
all
Ilayathalapathy
Vijay
fans
as
they
are
celebrating
the
completion
of
a
year,
since
the
release
of
one
of
the
biggest
blockbusters
of
2014,
Kaththi.
Last
year,
this
very
day
(Oct
22nd)
Kaththi
swooped
into
many
theatres
worldwide,
after
which
it
did
not
take
long
to
sweep
many
movie
lovers
off
their
feet,
which
showed
through
the
box
office
collections
of
the
movie.
But
beyond
mere
box
office
collections,
Kaththi
had
a
greater
purpose
to
serve.
The
purpose,
was
to
make
everyone
understand
the
never
ending
plight
of
our
farmers
through
the
trained
eyes
of
AR
Murugadoss.
In
2014
alone,
the
National
Crime
Records
Bureau
of
India
reported
5,650
farmer
suicides.
The
real
success
of
a
movie
like
Kaththi
would
materialize
only
when
each
and
every
Indian
farmer
is
made
to
realize
that
he
or
she
has
to
go
on
no
matter
what.
Even
after
showcasing
some
brutal
facts,
the
reality
remains
that
we
all
saw
the
film
through
rose-colored
glasses,
for
the
fact
houses
far
more
blood
and
pain
and
it's
getting
worse
every
minute.
Yes
we
clapped,
whistled
and
enjoyed
every
bit
of
the
movie.
But
isn't
it
unfair
to
just
squeeze
out
the
entertainment
value
from
a
film
like
Kaththi
when
it
had
much
more
to
offer?
What's
your
contribution
towards
the
real
success
of
this
particular
Vijay
starrer?
