It
was
recently
reported
that
director
Vishnuvardhan
is
busy
visiting
many
temples,
constructed
by
the
Kings
who
ruled
the
state
of
Tamil
Nadu
years
ago,
as
a
part
of
his
research
in
order
to
helm
his
next,
which
is
said
to
be
a
historical
flick.
The
Billa
director
has
joined
hands
with
famed
novelist
and
screenwriter
Balakumaran,
and
the
duo
is
currently
in
exploration
mode
as
the
film
will
have
its
backdrop
set
in
the
9th
century.
Now,
according
to
the
latest
speculation
that
has
surfaced,
the
film
will
showcase
the
construction
of
the
famous
Brihadeeswarar
temple,
which
is
now
a
part
of
the
UNESCO
World
Heritage
Site.
The
temple,
located
in
the
city
of
Thanjavur,
was
built
by
Raja
Raja
Chola
I
and
hence
the
film's
lead
actor
would
quite
naturally
emulate
the
great
King,
it
is
said.
But
here
is
the
most
interesting
part
of
the
whole
hypothesis;
Thala
Ajith
might
be
approached
to
play
the
role
of
Raja
Raja
Chola.
Given
Vishnuvardhan's
rapport
with
the
Yennai
Arindhaal
star,
the
report
that's
been
doing
the
rounds
might
be
more
than
mere
speculation.
Stay
tuned
for
further
updates
regarding
this
exciting
development.
