The
latest
buzz
in
Kollywood
has
it
that
Dhanush
has
made
way
for
Simbu
by
postponing
Maari
and
thereby
avoiding
a
head-on
clash
with
Vaalu
which
is
confirmed
for
a
17th
July
release.
According
to
a
report
by
IndiaGlitz,
Dhanush's
Maari
will
now
have
a
revised
release
date
and
will
most
probably
hit
the
screens
a
week
later
on
24th
as
opposed
to
its
previous
release
date,
17th
of
July.
The
reason
behind
Maari's
delay
is
said
to
be
Simbu's
Vaalu.
As
the
film
has
been
in
the
making
for
a
long
time
and
considering
how
important
the
success
of
Vaalu
could
be
to
the
Manmadhan
actor's
career,
it
is
suspected
that
Dhanush
might've
held
out
his
helping
hand
to
Simbu.
Also,
considering
the
fact
that
July
17th
could
be
the
beginning
of
a
certain
Ramzan
weekend,
Vaalu
might
cash
in
on
the
festival
spirit;
all
the
more
reason
to
heap
praises
on
Dhanush.
Having
said
that,
it
remains
to
be
seen
what
kind
of
an
effect
his
alleged
decision
might
possibly
have
in
the
box
office
collections
of
Maari.
Simbu
and
Dhanush
are
considered
on-screen
rivals
and
hence
the
news
that
both
Maari
and
Vaalu
were
releasing
on
the
same
day
had
excited
fans
and
movie
goers
alike.
But
going
by
latest
reports,
Dhanush's
fans
might
need
to
wait
a
wee
bit
longer
to
experience
the
magic
of
Maari.

updates:
Meanwhile,
check
out
some
of
the
interesting
stills
from
Maari
and
Vaalu
in
the
slides
below:
Doing
A
M.G.R?
Going
by
this
still,
looks
like
Dhanush
might
be
recreating
some
of
the
trademark
dance
steps
of
M.G.R.
Also,
these
images
from
the
film
suggests
that
the
fans
will
be
treated
to
some
colorful
pictures
in
Maari.
Playing
With
Fire
Dhanush
was
initially
rumoured
to
be
seen
as
a
tailor
living
in
north-Madras
in
the
film.
Sources
close
to
the
film's
unit
later
revealed
that
he
would
be
seen
as
a
local
slum
chieftain
for
which
he
had
to
speak
in
the
Madras
accent.
Troubling
Others
Going
by
the
trailer
and
posters,
Dhanush
might
be
playing
a
local
don
who
likes
to
irritate
others.
A
sadistic
character
perhaps?
Simbu's
Hobby
In
Vaalu?
Coming
back
to
Vaalu,
it
looks
like
Simbu's
favourite
pastime
in
the
movie
is
flying
kites.
He
sure
looks
like
a
dedicated
kite
flyer
in
this
particular
still.
Simbu's
Love
Story
Looks
like
Vaalu's
story
yet
again
revolves
around
two
central
characters(like
most
of
Simbu's
movies).
And
going
by
this
image,
one
can
safely
say
that
Hansika
is
not
happy
with
Simbu.
A
break-up
scene
inspired
from
their
real
life?
Fight
Scene?
Going
by
the
stills,
Vaalu
might
house
a
number
of
fight
sequences.
But
in
this
still,
it
looks
as
if
Simbu
is
not
quite
ready
to
fight.
