Earlier,
we
had
informed
you
about
the
box
office
collections
of
Suriya's
sci-fi
thriller
24
in
North
America.
Now
that
the
film
has
raked
in
more
than
a
Million
USD
in
North
America,
its
box
office
performance
in
Tamil
Nadu
and
other
Indian
states
becomes
of
vital
importance
to
its
overall
monetary
success.
So
how
has
24
fared
in
its
home
state
and
other
neighbouring
states
so
far?
'Quite
impressive'
would
be
the
immediate
response
by
anyone
going
through
the
weekend
box
office
figures
of
the
movie.
By
the
end
of
its
three-day
theatrical
run
in
Tamil
Nadu,
the
Vikram
Kumar-directed
film
is
said
to
have
grossed
more
than
17
Crores
(approx).
In
Chennai
alone,
the
weekend
box
office
collections
of
the
Suriya-starrer
has
crossed
1.5
Crore
rupees,
according
to
a
report.
If
you
think
these
numbers
are
decent
enough,
wait
until
we
update
you
with
the
box
office
figures
of
the
movie
in
states
like
Andhra
Pradesh
and
Telangana.
From
both
the
Telugu
speaking
states
combined,
the
film
bankrolled
by
Suriya,
has
garnered
a
whopping
17
Crore
rupees
(approx).
Apparently,
24
is
turning
out
to
be
a
special
flick
in
AP
and
Telangana.
Kerala
too,
has
contributed
handsomely
towards
the
overall
collections
of
the
film.
In
God's
own
country,
the
time
travel
thiller
has
managed
to
gather
an
impressive
5.5
Crores
(approx)
from
its
first
three
days.
Having
collected
big
in
the
USA,
the
movie
isn't
doing
bad
either
in
places
like
Australia
and
France.
While
it
has
gone
on
to
become
Suriya's
biggest
opener
ever
in
Australia
by
collecting
A$187,047
(91
Lakhs
INR),
it
has
grossed
67,977€
(51
Lakhs
INR)
in
France,
according
to
a
report.
Adding
up
all
the
numbers,
it
can
be
safely
said
that
24
has
collected
more
than
50
Crore
rupees
worldwide,
from
its
opening
weekend.
It
is
to
be
noted
that
we
have
not
considered
collections
from
rest
of
India
and
other
parts
of
the
world
where
the
movie
was
released
last
Friday
(May
6th).
