Who
would
have
thought
that
the
fight
sequence,
which
was
being
captured
at
the
Jawaharlal
Nehru
Stadium
in
New
Delhi,
would
be
used
in
the
all
important
climax
sequence
of
the
film?
Yes,
the
recently
concluded
shooting
schedule
of
superstar
Rajinikanth's
upcoming
sci-fi
thriller
2.o,
was
always
intended
to
form
a
major
part
of
the
film's
climax,
a
source
close
to
the
project
has
told
Times
of
India.
According
to
the
report,
the
climax
portion
will
include
a
high-octane
fight
scene
featuring
Rajinikanth,
Akshay
Kumar
and
Amy
Jackson.
"The
climax
portion
of
the
film
is
done
now,
and
it
has
been
entirely
shot
in
Delhi
stadium.
It
was
a
45-day
schedule
and
now,
the
team
is
back
in
Chennai.
The
entire
team,
including
Superstar
Rajinikanth
was
exhausted
due
to
the
hot
weather
in
Delhi,
and
it
was
tough
to
complete
the
shoot," the
source
has
said.
This
particular
fight
sequence
had
posed
a
major
challenge
to
cinematographer
Nirav
Shah.
"As
it
was
a
high-octane
fight
sequence
which
included
lot
of
robotic
equipment,
it
was
quite
a
challenge
for
the
cinematographer
Nirav
Shah.
There
was
some
damage
to
the
equipments
as
well.
More
than
one
helicam
fell
to
the
ground
from
considerable
height
and
broke
into
pieces.
But
the
scene
has
come
out
really
well," the
source
has
said
adding
that
the
team
will
resume
the
shoot
in
10
days'
time.
"The
team
will
start
the
third
schedule
in
another
10
days'
time
and
shoot
at
a
private
theme
park
in
Chennai.
These
scenes
will
have
Rajinikanth
and
Amy
Jackson.
There
are
also
planning
to
erect
a
huge
set
on
ECR
to
shoot
a
crucial
sequence."
Directed
by
Shankar,
who
had
helmed
the
prequel,
2.o
is
bankrolled
by
Lyca
Productions.
The
estimated
budget
of
the
film
stands
at
a
whopping
350
Crore
rupees,
making
it
the
costliest
film
ever
produced
in
the
country.
