SHOCKER: Arrest Warrant Against Director-Actor Cheran, Cops To Nab Him Soon!

With an intention to eradicate piracy, director-actor Cheran came up with an initiative called Cinema 2 Home (C2H), which allows movie enthusiasts to watch the recently released flicks from their respective homes.

This option of viewing brand new movies from home was given rise, in an attempt to make those who have difficulties visiting cinema halls watch films in a legal manner, thus putting an end to piracy.

Though the word 'good cause' is written all over this initiative, Cheran has been facing issues of his own post releasing his first movie, JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai using C2H platform.

The latest problem of his has to do with an arrest warrant issued against his name by a court in Ramanathapuram.

The reason? A cheque bounce case lodged against him by Palaniyappan, a local CD dealer who had signed a deal with Cheran.

According to the deal, Palaniyappan had to deliver CD's to the customers who had enrolled for C2H in Ramanathapuram district and was paid for doing so through a cheque.

But the CD dealer had alleged that the cheque given to him by Cheran bounced due to insufficient balance and had lodged a complaint against him.

Since Cheran failed to appear in front of the court after being summoned, the judge has issued an arrest warrant against the film-maker, according to a report.
