Arvind Swamy To Don Director's Hat Soon, Is Ready With Two Scripts Already!

Actor Arvind Swamy, who made a swashbuckling comeback to films through Thani Oruvan, plans to don the director's hat soon.

The actor, after making his debut in Mani Ratnam's 1991 classic Thalapathi, went on to become a successful name within Kollywood fraternity, before deciding to shift focus from cinema to business.

Now that he is back to the entertainment industry, it looks like the Minsaara Kanavu star wants to take control by wielding the microphone.

According to a report from a leading daily, Arvind also has a couple of scripts ready.

"I have plans to get into direction. Yes, I have written two scripts that I will be directing in a year or so. I am not sure whether it will be in Hindi or Tamil though," the actor has said.

Not just with the microphone, but the stylish actor is also keen on taking control over the type of films and roles he wants to portray on the big screen.

"I was not working for a while, but now I wanted to come back and enjoy my work. The audiences these days have also changed. They are more receptive to new ideas. I didn't want to do the regular films. Now, it's my time to choose films with so many options that I have," he has said.

Though he is immensely popular throughout India, stardom is something Arvind never lets to occupy his head. In fact, he has said he hates it to be treated in a special way just because he's an actor.

"I just want to be myself. I want to act in films and not expect any special treatment. I carry my own bags on sets, I don't have assistants around me. I am very comfortable this way," he has told Hindustan Times.
