No Joke This: Guru Somasundaram Turns Into A Menacing Villain In 'Yaakkai'

Actor Guru Somasundaram, who stunned everyone with his tremendous act in 'Joker', is all set to make things a little more serious in his upcoming film Yaakaai, which has him playing the villain.

Directed by Kulandai Vellappan, the film, which stars Kreshna and Swathi Reddy in the lead, also has the likes of Prakash Raj and Radha Ravi onboard.

Speaking to IndiaGlitz, Kulandai has said Guru's role will earn him accolades as he is not playing any ordinary baddie.

"If 'Joker' is one pole of Guru Somasundaram, then 'Yaakkai' will be the other unseen pole of him. 'Yaakkai' will portray Guru Somasundaram in a completely new and fresh avatar. On acting he can go to any extent, and it is our pleasure to have him onboard.

Apart from the other normal baddies, this villain character in 'Yaakkai' will stand out of the box. Creating a dreadful situation is the main quality of our 'Yaakkai' villain, and Guru Somasundaram is perfectly carving it. We are pretty sure that his villain role in 'Yaakkai' will add one more feather to his cap," he has said.
