Looks like actor Madhavan's latest Tamil flick Irudhi Suttru, has managed to impress overseas audience more than the movie goers back home as the sports based drama has reportedly performed better overseas than in Tamil Nadu, at least by the end of its opening weekend (first three days).
Taking on its competitor, Aranmanai 2, at the box office last weekend, it is said that the Sudha Kongara Prasad directorial outperformed the horror-comedy flick in foreign countries.
ATMUS Entertainment, the company which distributed Irudhi Suttru in the USA, confirmed that the movie is "doing good at the USA box office."
Taking to their official social media page, ATMUS said good reviews and word of mouth are some of the factors helping the movie attract audience into cinema halls.
While the first day was responsible in contributing $5K, second and third day is said to have collected $23K and $40K respectively, taking its overall collections to an impressive $68,407 or 46.26 Lakhs from its first three days in the Land of Liberty alone.
Though the official box office numbers of Chennai is not yet revealed, collections of Aranmanai 2 have surpassed the collections of Irudhi Suttru, according to a report. This however, may change this week, say trade experts.
