Highest Collections On Day 1

Kabali smashed the record held by Salman Khan's Sultan to become the highest opening grosser on day 1 in India. While Sultan had grossed 36.54 Crores, Kabali managed to amass a massive 53 Crore rupees.

It is to be noted that Sultan had an added advantage as it released during a festival weekend. However, Kabali was released in three Indian languages.

Conquering South India

Kabali grossed more than 100 Crores in India alone from its opening weekend, which is the best for any South Indian movie, beating the record previously held by Baahubali.

"In the domestic market, the film (Kabali) collected a whopping Rs 128 Crore from the opening weekend. It's the best ever opening for a South Indian film," trade analyst Trinath had said.

From 0 To 200 In Five Days!

The superstar-starrer became the fastest South Indian film to join the 200 Crore club. It managed to achieve this terrific feat in just 5 days from its theatrical release.

"'Kabali' is the fastest South Indian film to rake in over Rs 200 Crore at the box office worldwide in just five days. As on Tuesday (July 26), 'Kabali' has grossed Rs 205 Crore and this includes the three languages in which the film was released," Trinath told IANS.

Setting Premiere Shows On Fire

In USA, Kabali managed to collect a whopping $2 Million from its premiere shows, beating Baahubali which had collected $1.39 Million, to become the highest grosser for any Indian movie at US premieres.

In UK, the Ranjith directorial had reportedly gathered £93,835 from its premiere shows. This again, is said to be a record in the country for any Tamil movie.

Similarly, in France, Kabali was said to have garnered an impressive 41,280€, while in UAE, it had crossed the $1 Million mark from its premiere shows.
