Prior
to
the
release
of
Kabali,
superstar
Rajinikanth
was
under
pressure
to
deliver
a
hit
as
his
previous
outing
Lingaa
had
tanked
at
the
box
office.
The
man
who
called
the
shots
for
Lingaa,
has
now
said
that
Kabali
is
neither
a
Ranjith
nor
a
Rajini
film.
Speaking
to
Deccan
Chronicle,
Director
KS
Ravikumar
revealed
that
he
voiced
his
opinion
about
the
gangster
drama
to
Rajinikanth.
"I
watched
the
movie
and
spoke
to
Rajini
sir.
I
told
him
that
'Kabali'
was
neither
a
Rajini
nor
a
Ranjith
film.
When
I
told
him
that
the
movie
is
a
good
don
film
and
he
has
performed
very
well,
he
laughed
in
his
inimitable
way," he
told
the
daily.
The
Panchathantiram
director,
who
is
awaiting
the
release
of
Mudinja
Ivana
Pudi,
has
said
his
films
are
usually
fabricated
keeping
his
audiences
in
mind.
"Right
from
the
beginning
of
my
career,
I
kept
audiences
in
mind
and
even
during
the
scripting
stage.
I
incorporate
the
ideas
of
my
assistants
as
well," he
has
said.
Starring
Sudeep
and
Nithya
Menon
in
the
lead,
Mudinja
Ivana
Pudi
hits
the
screen
this
Friday
(Aug
12).
