bagged
a
prominent
role
in
Mani
Ratnam's
next
directorial
venture.

his

along
with
a
picture
of
himself
with
the
maverick
director.
Well-known
for
playing
lead
actor's
sidekick,
RJ
Balaji
is
said
to
be
playing
Karthi's
friend
in
the
movie.
Karthi,
who
will
be
seen
flying
aircrafts
in
the
film,
was
trained
by
professionals
to
make
his
act
look
authentic.
"Karthi
is
learning
the
basics
of
flying,
which
includes
even
simple
things
like
how
to
be
seated
while
in
the
pilot's
seat.
It
will
be
a
2-3
weeks
crash
course
and
upon
completion,
the
makers
will
finally
take
the
film
on
the
floors," a
source
from
the
film's
unit
had
earlier
said.
Principal
shooting
for
the
film
will
commence
from
Friday
(8
July)
in
Ooty.
Also
starring
Aditi
Rao
Hydari
(in
the
pics
below),
who
will
be
playing
a
doctor,
the
film
has
its
music
composed
by
'Isaipuyal' AR
Rahman.
Meanwhile,
Karthi
is
also
busy
wrapping
up
work
for
his
upcoming
horror
film,
Kaashmora.
Being
directed
by
Gokul
of
Rowthiram
and
Idharkuthaney
Aasaipattai
Balakumara
fame,
the
film
also
stars
Nayantara,
Sri
Divya,
Manisha
Yadav
and
Vivekh
in
important
roles.
Interestingly,
Vivekh
will
be
seen
playing
Karthi's
father
in
the
movie.
Santhosh
Narayanan
has
been
roped
in
to
compose
tunes
for
Kaashmora.
For
the
3D
scan
technology
used
in
the
film,
Karthi's
face
was
scanned
at
a
studio
here
in
Chennai.
It
is
said
that
Kaashmora
is
the
first
Tamil
film
to
have
implemented
the
technology
in
India.
