For
quite
some
time
now,
it
was
widely
speculated
that
Suriya
may
join
hands
with
film-maker
Sundar
C
for
a
big
budget,
historical
flick
on
the
lines
of
Telugu
films
Magadheera
and
Baahubali.
Putting
an
end
to
all
rumours,
the
Aranmanai
director,
in
his
latest
Red
Carpet
interview
to
IndiaGlitz,
has
said
no
actors
have
been
confirmed
as
of
now
and
that
the
film
is
a
mega
budget
entertainer,
which
will
exceed
the
budget
of
Baahubali
and
Rajinikanth's
2.0.
"This
is
Thenandal
Films'
prestigious
movie
as
it
is
their
100th
production.
Only
art
director
Sabu
Cyril
and
VFX
supervisor
Kamala
Kannan
have
been
signed
in.
Rest
of
the
cast
and
crew
will
be
officially
announced
in
a
month's
time," Sundar
told
Sreedhar
Pillai.
When
asked
about
initiating
talks
with
Suriya,
Sundar
termed
it
as
a
mere
media
speculation
and
added
that
the
historical
movie
will
have
a
"very
big
and
fantastic
star
cast" from
three
different
film
industries
as
the
movie
will
be
a
Tamil-Telugu-Hindi
trilingual.
The
48-year-old
film-maker
went
on
to
say
that
scripting
work
for
the
film
started
7
months
ago
with
writers
like
Bhadri
Narayanan
and
Prapanchan,
a
recepient
of
Njanapeedam
Award,
working
on
it.
Sundar
says
it
will
take
at
least
a
couple
of
years
to
complete
the
film.
"Since
a
project
like
this
demands
lot
of
concentration
and
work,
it
will
take
2
years
to
complete
the
film.
We
have
already
begun
the
CG
works
in
countries
like
USA,
UK
and
Denmark.
Also,
I
will
not
commit
myself
to
any
other
project
until
I
complete
this,"
he
has
said.
Sundar
C
also
awaits
the
release
of
Muthina
Kathirikai,
an
official
remake
of
Malayalam
movie
Vellimoonga.
Directed
by
Venkat
Raghavan,
this
film
has
Sundar
C
and
Poonam
Bajwa
in
the
lead
roles.
It
also
stars
Vaibhav,
Sathish
and
Kiran
Rathod
in
important
roles.
