'Pichaikkaran' Director Sasi To Helm Udhayanidhi Stalin's Next!

Actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin will next team up with director Sasi, who is basking in the success of Tamil drama Pichaikkaran, for a yet-untitled project, slated to go on the floors later this year.

"Director Sasi has been finalised to direct Udhayanidhi in a new project, which will be bankrolled by Thenandal Films. The project will only go on the floors after Udhay completes working on his film with director Suseenthiran," a source told IANS.

According to the source, the directorial opportunity was first offered to young film-maker Ashwin Saravanan of Maya fame.

"Ashwin was approached by producer Murali with the offer. However, the former felt he doesn't have a suitable script for Udhay," the source added.

Udhayanidhi currently has two Tamil projects, including Manithan, a Tamil remake of Jolly LLB under his belt. Manithan is being directed by Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame. He will also be seen in an untitled Suseenthiran project.
