Rajinikanth Gets Tweeting, Wishes His '2.o' Co-star Akshay Kumar For His Upcoming Film

Superstar Rajinikanth sent his wishes to his 2.o co-star Akshay Kumar for the latter's upcoming Hindi film Rustom. The movie will have a worldwide release this Friday ( Aug 12).

"Dear @akshaykumar... I wish you all success for your forthcoming release #Rustom," Rajinikanth, 65, tweeted.

For a star who rarely expresses himself through social media, Rajinikanth has surprised everyone by using Twitter in consecutive days.

While on August 9th, he expressed his grief over the departure of producer-writer Panchu Arunachalam, with whom he has worked in 22 movies, he followed that tweet up with his wishes to Akshay on August 10th.

Rajinikanth has over 3 Million followers and has so far sent only 31 tweets over a span of three years.

The Lingaa star and Akshay, 48, will share screen space for the first time in the sequel to Enthiran (2010). Directed by Shankar, 2.o is expected to hit theatres in 2017.
