Superstar
Rajinikanth,
who
was
on
a
month-long
US
vacation
along
with
his
daughter
Aishwarya
R
Dhanush,
returned
to
India
on
Sunday
(July
24).
"Rajinikanth
sir
and
his
daughter
Aishwarya
returned
to
Chennai
earlier
this
evening.
He
was
welcomed
by
hordes
of
fans
at
the
airport.
From
the
first
week
of
August,
he
will
resume
work
on
his
Tamil
film
'2.o'," a
source
close
to
the
65-year-old
star
told
IANS.

Rajinikanth:
As
part
of
his
vacation,
the
Enthiran
actor
is
rumoured
to
have
attended
a
detoxification
program.
He
also
spent
some
time
at
the
Satchitandanda
ashram
in
Virginia.
Meanwhile,
Rajinikanth's
latest
Tamil
outing
Kabali,
which
released
on
Friday
(July
22),
is
successfully
running
in
cinemas
and
is
said
to
have
grossed
more
than
350
Crores
worldwide
from
its
opening
weekend.
Though
many
trade
experts
questioned
producer
Thanu's
claim,
saying
that
it
is
almost
impossible
for
a
film
to
join
the
350
Crore
mark
in
just
3
days,
especially
with
a
cap
of
120
rupees
for
movie
tickets
in
Tamil
Nadu,
sources
in
the
know
have
said
that
many
tickets
were
sold
for
much
higher
prices.
Also,
the
movie
had
collected
a
whopping
12
Crore
rupees
from
its
premiere
shows
alone
in
the
USA,
giving
a
perfect
launch
for
something
substantial.
Going
by
the
way
Kabali
has
started
at
the
box
office,
it
shouldn't
come
across
as
a
surprise
if
the
Rajinikanth-starrer
joins
the
500
Crore
club
by
the
end
of
its
second
week
run
in
cinemas
worldwide.
In
the
film,
Rajinikanth
plays
an
aged
don
who
fights
for
equal
pay
rights
for
Tamilians
living
in
Malaysia.
