Two relatively prominent Tamil movies are hitting the big screen this week and it's now time to take a look at the reasons why anyone should watch these flicks in theatres this Friday (4 March).
Pichaikkaran is allegedly the story of a millionaire who leads the life of a beggar. As exciting as this one-liner sounds, the movie is expected to give out a loud and clear message to its audience.
Also, the film has been directed by Sasi, the film-maker who made his directorial debut through Sollamale way back in 1998. Ever since, he has helmed only a few flicks which includes the award-winning movie, Poo.
The music composer turned actor had done a decent job in his previous movies. It will be interesting to see if he can manage to score high in a more challenging role.
His role in Pichaikkaran is said to be the toughest he has played so far in his acting career. Also interesting to experience will be his background score for an eccentric film like Pichaikkaran.
Whenever a newbie makes his or her debut in Tamil, excitement factor tags along as Kollywood has an eye for spotting talent.
Satna Titus making her debut, would be hoping that she impresses a bunch of people here. Watch out for her performance in the film on the big screen.
Moving on, lets look at what Pokkiri Raja might have in store for moviegoers this Friday. Fantasy comedy is a genre that hardly gets explored in Tamil cinema.
Pokkiri Raja might do exactly that and that's reason enough to catch this Jiiva-Hansika starrer this weekend.
An Interesting Team
Pokkiri Raja is blessed with an interesting team. Directed by Ramprakash Rayappa, who had earlier helmed Tamizhuku En Ondrai Azhuthavum, the movie has Jiiva pairing up with Hansika for the very first time.
While cinematography has been headed by Anji, who has worked in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films, Imman has composed the music.
Sibiraj had to make a decision regarding his acting career and now he has signed Pokkiri Raja, which will see him play second fiddle to Jiiva.
This decision of his is as crucial as it can get as his performance in this film might decide his future in Tamil film industry. Watch out for his role in the film.
