IN PICS: Regina Cassandra Opens Up About Her Controversial Dress At IIFA Utsavam

Regina Cassandra has finally opened up about the dress she was seen in at the IIFA Utsavam 2016. The purple-coloured designer outfit had given rise to lot of buzz among fans and others.

"I wanted to wear something different and wanted to create my own path. Things may go wrong in fashion. International artistes like Jennifer Lopez wear risque outfits all the time. I know that people will definitely comment on my outfit and will ask me to cover up," she told Times of India.

The Nenjam Marappathillai actress has said she felt confident about it and that's what triggered her to trust her hunch.

"Even if I were to see someone wearing a revealing outfit, my first reaction would be, 'What the hell'. Everyone has their own opinion and I respect that. A few years ago, I was bit conscious about what I wear. But I let go, and now, feel confident about myself," the 27-year-old beauty has said.

But she had an unfortunate incident on the stage.

"I was walking carefully on the stage, but then, Navdeep stepped on my train by mistake, and I saw my dress tearing. But I am proud that I managed to stay calm, finish my part and walk down to my stylist to have it stitched immediately," she told the leading daily.

The actress, who is equally popular in the Telugu film industry, is currently single!

"I am very much single. And if at all I do get married, it will definitely be a love marriage as my mom is not looking out for me. According to my mum, I will spoil the person whom I am getting married to. So, she wants me to remain single," she has said light-heartedly.
