'Sethupathi' Vs 'Miruthan': First Three Days (Weekend) Box Office Predictions

Last Friday (February 19th) Kollywood witnessed the release of two prominent Tamil movies in Vijay Sethupathi's Sethupathi and Jayam Ravi's Miruthan. It is now time to take a look at these movies' box office prospects by the end of their opening weekend (first three days).

While Sethupathi and Miruthan received average to positive reviews from critics, moviegoers too, have embraced both the flicks with equal zest.

If Miruthan is a new experience for Tamil audiences, Sethupathi scores high through Vijay Sethupathi's acting skills and is a family entertainer.

Hence both these movies are expected to do well in Tamil Nadu throughout the opening weekend.

Going by the inputs from trade experts, Sethupathi may go on to collect an impressive 4 Crore rupees from its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu.

Miruthan on the other hand is expected to collect close to 3 Crores by the end of its first three days, with Chennai being one of the biggest contributors.
