As
reported
earlier,
a
formal
religious
ceremony
(pooja)
was
held
in
Chennai
yesterday
(April
4th),
which
marked
the
commencement
of
the
sequel
to
superhit
flick
Chennai
600028.
Directed
by
Venkat
Prabhu,
Chennai
600028
revolved
around
the
lives
of
young
men,
united
by
the
passion
for
the
game
of
cricket.
The
film
had
also
explored
themes
like
love,
friendship
and
betrayal.
In
its
sequel
however,
the
Biriyani
director
will
portray
the
characters
of
Chennai
600028
as
middle-aged
men,
a
press
release
said.
Going
by
this
statement,
it
can
be
safely
deduced
that
the
movie
will
handle
more
serious
issues
like
relationships
while
showcasing
the
love
for
cricket
from
a
middle-aged
person's
point
of
view.
The
shooting
for
Chennai
600028
part
2
will
begin
from
April
11th.
Speaking
to
the
media,
Vaibhav
Reddy,
who
has
been
inducted
into
cast
said,
"We
will
begin
the
shoot
from
April
11.
We
will
be
shooting
in
Chennai
for
about
10
days
and
will
then
head
to
Courtallam-Tenkasi
side
for
a
30-day
schedule.
It
feels
great
to
be
back
with
the
team."
The
rest
of
the
cast
including
Jai,
'Mirchi'
Shiva,
Premji
Amaran,
Nithin
Sathya,
Vijay
Vasanth,
Aravind
Akash
and

have
been
retained
by

Prabhu,
who
is
an
ardent
cricket
fan.
Along
with
Vaibhav
Reddy,
Mahat
too,
have
been
included
in
the
cast.
Praveen
KL
has
been
roped
in
to
take
care
of
the
editing
bit.
While
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja
will
compose
music
for
the
flick,
Stunt
Silva
will
handle
the
action
sequences.
Stay
tuned
for
