Suriya Opts For Muthaiah Over 'Kabali' Director Pa Ranjith?

Earlier, it was reported that Suriya will join hands with the Kabali film-maker Ranjith after the completion of S3. In fact, Ranjith was all set to helm Suriya's movie before he landed the opportunity to direct Rajinikanth's Kabali.

But now, if latest reports are to go by, Suriya will be seen in director Muthaiah's next. It is said that Studio Green will be bankrolling the project. Studio Green had earlier produced Muthaiah's Komban, starring Suriya's brother Karthi.

While it is said that the rest of the cast and crew is yet to be decided, Keerthi Suresh is said to have been approached to play the leading lady.

If she gets roped in, the Idhu Enna Maayam actress will be sharing screen space with Suriya for the first time in her acting career.

It will be interesting to see what kind of movie Muthaiah directs with Suriya in the lead. While the Ghajini actor has not starred in a village based film for quite a while now, Muthaiah has not helmed a city based flick thus far.
