Actress Trisha, who is known more for her acting abilities, will soon explore a new career option as the Thoongaavanam girl will sing in her upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Nayagi.
According to reports, the 32-year-old actress will turn playback singer in the Goverdhan Reddy directorial flick and that official confirmation regarding the same is expected soon.
Following the footsteps of actresses like Remya Nambeesan and Lakshmi Menon, Trisha too, will put her crooning abilities to test for the very first time in her career.
The song, composed by music director Raghu, might be used while promoting the movie, a strategy that is being extensively used in Kollywood of late.
Also starring Ganesh Venkatraman, Sushma Raj, Satyam Rajesh and Jayaprakash in important roles, Nayagi is said to be a horror comedy.
The movie is being bankrolled by Trisha's erstwhile manager Giridhar Mamidipally under his home banner Giridhar Production House.
Apart from Nayagi, Trisha will also be seen essaying an important role in Dhanush's Kodi and Pandian directorial Bhogi.
