Uriyadi,
which
received
acclaims
from
most
of
the
critics
and
movie
goers,
will
be
taken
off
from
cinema
halls
across
Chennai
and
Coimbatore
after
just
35
days
of
its
theatrical
run.
Though
the
movie
had
managed
to
impress
its
audiences
across
the
state
for
its
gritty
narration
and
impressive
portrayal
of
action,
Uriyadi
is
now
struggling
to
stay
on
the
big
screen.
Thanking
fans
and
critics
for
their
positive
reviews
on
the
film,
producer-director
Vijay
Kumar
went
on
to
say
that
he
cannot
reveal
why
his
film
is
being
taken
off
from
theatres.
"#Uriyadi
-
35th
Day
-
Thank
u
Viewers,
Press,
Media,
Theatre
owners
&
distributors.
Due
to
the
power
of
positive
word
of
mouth
from
people,
'Uriyadi'
made
it
to
35th
day.
It
will
be
the
last
day
of
theatrical
run
in
Chennai,
today
&
Coimbatore,
tomorrow.
The
cinema
lovers
wanted
to
see
'Uriyadi'
after
first
3-4
days
of
its
release,
hearing
the
good
reviews,
but
by
then
it
could
not
be
screened
further
in
theatres
in
many
centres.
There
were
many
reasons
I
cannot
disclose
on
why
'Uriyadi'
could
not
be
reached
to
audience
on
big
scale.
Nevertheless,
the
number
of
audience
who
would
see
a
super
hit
film,
saw/seeing
'Uriyadi'
too,
through
the
possible
sources
accessible
to
them.
In
this
fast-food
life
of
ours,
clicking
like
or
share
in
Facebook/twitter
itself
is
a
big
time
consuming
work
for
us.
But
'Uriyadi'
viewers/fans
took
time
and
wrote
in
paragraphs
to
convey
their
appreciation
and
to
promote
the
film.
Tamil
cinema
fans
proved
they
will
never
let
down
a
cinema
taken
trusting
them,
loving
them
and
for
them.
An
honest
&
original
art,
let
it
be
writing,
painting,
music..
etc
will
always
be
embraced
by
people,
even
when
it's
too
late
for
the
creator.
Thank
you
all
on
behalf
of
every
one
who
worked
for
'Uriyadi'
officially
and
promoted
the
film
unconditionally," Vijay
Kumar
posted
on
his
social
media
page.
