Tamil actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next outing, which is tentatively titled Vijay 60, will start rolling from May. Also, the film will hit screens during Pongal festival next year, a source said.
"Vijay met the technical crew of the project last week. It was an informal meet just to get familiarized with each other. They've decided to go on the floors from May and wrap up the project by the year end. The plan is to release the film during Pongal 2017," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
To be directed by Bharathan of Azhagiya Tamil Magan fame, the film will feature Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.
Excited about teaming up with Vijay, Keerthy wrote on her official Twitter page on Tuesday: "Yes! SIGNED #Vijay60! Feeling extremely happy to pair with Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay sir! Thanks for your support! Can't wait to start (sic)".
The film will have music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography will be handled by Sukumar of Mynaa fame. Praveen KL has been roped in to edit the flick, to be produced by Vijaya Productions.
