It was not just a wait, but Hunger of a period for over 1.5 Years for all Thala fans. Diwali 2015 was the last time when the actor's fans had celebrations in full throttle during the release of Blockbuster Vedhalam. Ajith then went on to take a small vacation break and then started working on a new project titled Vivegam under Siruthai Siva's direction.
The first look of the movie where Ajith sports a macho body with toned muscle sent his fans tizzy and made them anticipate for teaser and songs. The subsequent looks of the movie ensured it to be a stylish flick with Ajith looking uber cool in varied looks.
It was then the director who made the announcement through his twitter handle that the movie's teaser would go on air from Thursday midnight, at 12:00 AM. However, the teaser was leaked a few hours ago and went viral on Facebook. But this couldn't stop the unstoppable force of Ajith Kumar fans who went on a rampage soon after the teaser got released on Youtube.
The 57-Sec long teaser gives a glimpse of an action thriller which conveys a clear message that it would purely be a one man show. The movie would ride more on Ajith's screen presence and style and the same can be witnessed in the teaser.
The visuals look stunning where most of the sequences are canned in Bulgaria and one can expect some high voltage action sequences in abundance.
Dialogues are already catchy which generally happens with Ajith's movies. The initial dialogue of the teaser which roughly translates to "None can succeed over you unless and until you accept your own defeat despite hurdles, criticism and affront by anyone at any time".
It would be the "Never Ever Give Up" dialogue which could turn as the mantra for Thala fans as the same can be associated with the actor's real life who is said to be a man of perseverance.
A particular shot at 0:22 in the teaser highlights a chameleon which has Ajith in the background. This might convey a subtle message that the movie might be based on a camouflaged characterization of the protagonist or a story of betrayal.
Ajith is also seen in a military attire making it look all interesting.
However, the BGM by Anirudh in the teaser cut seems to fall a bit flat and doesn't quite appeal to Ajith's screen presence. Hoping that the songs and BGM for the movie would be elevated to a different level knowing Anirudh's stamina and his previous work with Ajith.
The movie became the fastest teaser to touch 100K Likes within 47 Minutes. This is the fastest milestone in Indian cinema for any teaser. The movie has so far managed to garner over 2M views with 216K likes and 40K dislikes.
The stats look quite phenomenal and also infers a clear indication that the Ajith-starrer teaser is all set to break records of Vijay's Theri and Bairavaa teaser records (Both likes and Views) with Theri standing at 11M views and 310K Likes while Bairavaa at 15M views and 272K Likes.
One needs to wait and watch if Vivegam would be able to successfully surpass the Likes garnered by Superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali which stands at 463K Likes. However, it would be a daunting task for Thala's teaser to dismantle Thalaivar's teaser in terms of overall views as Kabali teaser's view count has clocked an astounding 33M Views.
Produced by Satya Jyoti films and being directed by Siruthai Siva, the movie is a prestigious venture for Thala Ajith as 2017 marks 25 Years of cinematic journey for the charismatic actor.
