Actor Kovai Senthil Passes Away

In an unfortunate development, noted character artiste Kovai Senthil has passed away in much to the shock of his die-hard fans. The 74-year-old passed away at a private hospital in Coimbatore today(September 9, 2018) . According to the latest reports, his death was caused because of age-related ailments and ill health . One is likely to get a clearer picture once more details are revealed. Kovai Senthil was an integral part of the Tamil film industry and had won the love of the fans because of his flawless comic timing and humble nature.

Reacting to his death, the Nadigar Sangam offered its condolences to his family and said that everyone was shocked to learn about his demise.

"The sudden demise of Kovai Senthil has shocked us. Along with his family, South Indian Artistes Association would pray for the soul to rest in peace,"read the statement.

Kovai Senthil was a regular in the noted director K Bhagyaraj's films and belonged to the same district as him. Some of his most notable films include Oru Kai Osai, Avasara Police and En Rathathin Rathame. He also appeared in a scene in Kamal Haasan's Avvai Shanmugi.
