Chekka Chivantha Vaanam New Trailer: Mani Ratnam's Film Promises To Be Intense And Captivating

Last year, the maverick film-maker Mani Ratnam suffered a setback when his much-hyped Kaatru Veliyidal opened to a mixed response at the box office and failed to live up to the expectations. A romantic-drama, the film featured Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead and failed to impress a section of the audience, despite boasting of good performances. With 2017 and Kaatru Veliyidal in the past, Mani Ratnam is gearing up for the release of his latest directorial venture Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

The multi-starrer has already created a great deal of buzz amongst the fans, courtesy its awesome trailer. And, now, here is some more exciting news for those who are awaiting its release.

In an exciting development, the latest trailer of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has been released and it is quite marvelous. In it, we see the main characters indulging in a gruesome power struggle in their bid to take over the 'family business'. The trailer indicates that the film features grey characters and focuses on how some people just cannot be trusted. If the trailer is anything to go by, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam might just turn out to be a violent and compelling affair.

Chekka Chivantha Vaanam features Arvind Swami, Jyothika, STR and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. Mollywood heart-throb Fahadh Faasil was originally supposed to be a part of the film, however, he opted out and was soon replaced by Arun Vijay.

Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is slated to hit the screens on September 27, 2018.
