Last year, the lovely Nayanthara gave strong proof of her abilities as a performer when she delivered a rocking performance in Aramm and left the fans asking for more. Directed by Gopi Nainar, the hard-hitting film featured 'Thalaivi' in the role of an IAS officer and touched upon the issue of water scarcity. Now, nearly a year later, Nayanthara is back with another heroine-centric film. Her eagerly-awaited Kolamaavu Kokila is all set to hit the screens tomorrow(August 17, 2018). And, as expected, it has created a great deal of buzz amongst the fans.

According to the latest trade reports, the film has managed to get several early morning shows in Chennai and this is likely to help it get rake in a decent amount of money on the opening day.

The advance booking reports are quite positive and several shows in Chennai are already houseful. This clearly indicates that the film's quirky promos have struck the right notes and helped Kolamaavu Kokila create a great deal of curiosity.

Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2, which hit the screens on August 10, 2018, is doing pretty well at the box office and has emerged as the top choice of the movie buffs. It'll be worth watch whether the Ulaga Nayagan tsunami affects Kolamaavu Kokila or not.
Aramm had collected nearly Rs 1.2 Crore at the Chennai box office in three days and created history. Kolamaavu Kokila has more commercial elements Aramm. As such, it is likely do better that the Gopi Nainar directorial during the opening weekend. It should collect around 20-40 Lakhs on the opening day.
