Last
year,
the
much-loved
Vijay
gave
a
strong
proof
of
his
abilities
as
an
actor
when
the
much-hyped
Mersal
opened
to
a
thunderous
response
at
the
box
office
and
received
rave
reviews
from
all
quarters.
Directed
by
Atlee,
the
film
featured
'Thalapathy'
in
a
triple
role
and
proved
to
be
the
perfect
Diwali
gift
for
the
fans.
It
also
ruffled
a
few
feathers
because
of
a
scene
that
made
fun
of
GST
and
this
helped
it
clicked
with
'Gen
Y'.
With
2017
in
the
rear-view
and
Diwali
around
the
corner,
Vijay
is
currently
gearing
up
for
the
release
of
Sarkar.
The
film
is
a
political-drama
and
it
has
created
a
great
deal
of
buzz
amongst
the
movie
buffs.
Now,
the
noted
director
Bhagyaraj
has
revealed
the
climax
of
Sarkar.
Sarkar
apparently
revolves
around
a
rich
businessman
(played
by
Vijay)
who
returns
to
India
from
the
USA
to
cast
his
vote.
He
is
unable
to
do
so,
as
someone
else
casts
it
fraudulently
in
his
name.
Following
this,
he
approaches
the
court
and
this
results
in
the
election
being
cancelled.
As
a
result
of
these
shocking
developments,
the
ruling
party
begins
targeting
Vijay's
character.
In
the
end,
Vijay
gets
the
opportunity
to
become
the
CM
but
he
turns
down
the
offer
and
decides
to
be
the
voice
of
the
people.
If
this
is
indeed
the
story,
then
Sarkar
might
go
a
long
way
in
establishing
the
superstar
as
Tamil
cinema's
favourite
mass
hero.
It
might
also
help
him
fulfil
his
political
ambitions.
Sarkar
also
features
Keerthy
Suresh
in
the
lead
and
it
is
slated
to
hit
the
screens
on
November
6,
2018.
