Simbu To Play A Cop In Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2?

The dashing Simbu is arguably one of the most talented and sought after actors in the Tamil film industry today. The young heartthrob enjoys a strong fan following thanks to his good looks and charming screen presence. At present, STR is in the limelight because of his rumoured association with Indian 2. As reported earlier, the Vaalu actor has been offered a role in the Kamal Haasan starrer but he is yet to sign the dotted line.

Now, the latest update is that STR has been offered the role of a senior cop in Indian 2. His character is likely to have several confrontations with the vigilante Senapati. However, the character is unlikely to be projected as the antagonist. If Simbu does indeed take up the offer, it might make Indian 2 even bigger.

A sequel to the 1996 classic Indian/Hindustani, Indian 2 is likely to go on the floors sometime next year and it is likely to be helmed by Shankar. The buzz is that Nayanthara and the Mersal beauty Kajal Aggarwal will be paired opposite Kamal in Indian 2

On a related note, STR was last seen in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam which did well at the box office. He is currently working on the Tamil remake of Atharintiki Daaredi. It is likely to hit the screens during Pongal
