Vada Chennai 6 Days Box Office Collections: Dhanush's Film Emerges As The Top Pick Of The Fans
It is no secret that Dhanush is one of the most popular and gifted stars in the Tamil film industry. The National award winner is held in high regard thanks to his warm nature, versatility as an actor and gripping screen presence. During his career, Dhanush has starred in several popular films and this has proved that success is his middle name. At present, he is in the limelight because of his latest film Vada Chennai.
The Vetrimaran directorial hit the screens on October 17, 2018, and collected nearly Rs 88 Lakh at the Chennai box office on Day 1 itself. Since then, it has stayed strong at the box office and remained the top pick of the target audience. Here is the latest report.
6 Days' Collection
According to a noted trade analyst, Vada Chennai has managed to collect nearly Rs 3.31 Crore at the Chennai box office in 6 days. The general feeling is that this is a reasonably good figure, as Vada Chennai is an 'A' rated film.
Sandakozhi Fails To Affect Vada Chennai
The Vishal starrer Sandakozhi 2 hit the screens on October 18, 2018, and opened to a decent response at the box office. However, it has not really affected Vada Chennai at all. Both these films belong to different genres. Vada Chennai is a gangster-drama, while Sandakozhi 2 is an entertainer. As such, both films have been able to satisfy their respective target audiences.
The WOM Is Fabulous
Most fans are of the opinion that Vada Chennai is a solid film that boasts of a hard-hitting storyline and some realistic performances. All in all, the film does full justice to the high standards set by Vetrimaran's previous films. As such, the WOM is simply terrific.
The Way Ahead...
The Vetrimaran-Dhanush combination is a brand in its own right. As such, Vada Chennai is likely to remain the top pick of the core audience in Week 2 as well. However, it might lose a few screens, as Jai's Jarugandi is slated to hit the screens this Friday (October 26, 2018).
