Was Shruti Haasan Traumatised By Kamal-Sarika’s Split? Here's What She Had Once Said
There's no denying the fact that the much-loved Shruti Haasan is one of the most popular young divas in the Telugu film industry today. The multi-talented lady enjoys a strong fan following courtesy her good looks, elegant personality, sincere performances and bold nature. During her illustrious career, she has acted alongside the best in the business and this has helped her find firm footing in the industry. Over the years, she has also grabbed plenty of attention because of her personal life.
In 2013, during an interview with Filmfare, the Vedalam beauty had spoken about various aspects of her personality and made a few big confessions.
About Sarika And Kamal Haasan’s Split
While speaking about Kamal Haasan and Sarika's separation, Shruti had said that she was not ‘traumatised' by the unfortunate incident. She had gone on to add that she respected her parents' decision as it helped both of them be live their respective lives happily.
Her Exact Words
"No(I was not traumatised). If they couldn't be happy together, it was better to be happier apart. A lot of kids who've seen their parent separate, will say that. In the beginning the fairytale idea works in your mind. But if it's not working out, it's not working out. As a kid, I was aware and clear about these thing. They live their own lives and do their own thing. Both are happy. Akshara (Haasan) and I are happy as long as they are happy."
Shruti Refused To ‘Justify’ Her Friendship With Dhanush
Interestingly, at that time Shruti was in the limelight because of rumoured affair with her 3 co-star and Kollywood actor Dhanush. While speaking about her friendship with him, the actress had said that she wasn't even remotely affected by such gossip. She had also made it clear that she would not ‘justify' her friendship with Dhanush.
‘I’ve Never Bothered Much About What People Say’
"I'm not going around justifying to people. I'm not going to tell people to put a microchip in my bum and follow me, so that they can know the truth. He is my best friend in the business. He has always helped me artistically. I won't throw that in trash just because people are talking nonsense about us. I've never bothered much about what people say."
‘I See Kids Sooner Than Marriage’
While revealing more details about her personal life and her take on love, Shruti had said that she considers herself to be a difficult girlfriend as she is an independent person. She had also said that she was open to having kids before marriage.
"I see kids sooner than marriage, I don't know why. I love kids. I want to have children. I just can't see myself getting married," she had added.

With Dhanush episode in the past, Shruti is currently focussing on her professional commitments. At present, she has the long-delayed Saabash Naidu and Mahesh Manjrekar's next Hindi film in her kitty. On the personal front, she is currently in the limelight because of her relationship with actor Michael Corsale. The two have often been spotted together but they are yet to confirm their relationship
