Petta Movie Review: LIVE Updates Of The Much-awaited Movie Of Rajinikanth

Petta, the Rajinikanth starrer is buckling up for a phenomenal rule in the theatres across the globe and the movie is making a massive entry to the theatres today (January 10, 2018). Celebrations are already on and the Pongal season is sure to be a fabulous one for the Tamil movie lovers. Petta also marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth with Karthik Subbaraj and we definitely can expect a very well-crafted entertainer from Superstar. • An excellent first half. The initial half of Petta is indeed a thoroughly enjoyable ride and our superstar rules the big screen like the way only he can. There are umpteen number of goose bump moments and Karthik Subbaraj has showcased the big star in a way that we all have been eager to see him. The action sequences and the build up are simply amazing. The one-liners and the punch dialogues are top-notch. With comedy, mass moments, action elements in the right proportions, the initial half has everything in it to keep the audiences hooked. The songs are too good and they have been placed really well. Special mention to Anirudh's BGM as well. The first half ends on a promising note. We expect a terrific second half as well.
• It needs to be said that the second half of Petta isn't as stupendous as the second half. The film does drag a lot in the latter half. The pace of the film does take a dip in here. However, it still is a pretty good one with Rajinikanth shouldering the film. More importantly, the last 15 minutes is simply top-notch. Petta is definitely a very good watch and a big treat for Rajinikanth fans.

Shooting Locations

Petta was shot in various locations in different schedules. The major portions of the film were shot in Darjeiling and the first schedule commenced in the month of June 2018. The film was also shot in Lucknow.
