Kamal
Haasan,
the
Ulaganayakan
of
the
Tamil
film
industry
recently
had
a
live
interaction
with
the
talented
actor
Vijay
Sethupathi,
on
social
media.
The
duo's
live
chat
was
an
absolute
treat
for
their
respective
fans
and
cine-goers,
who
are
hoping
to
watch
them
together
on
screen
soon.
During
the
interaction,
Kamal
Haasan
finally
opened
up
about
Marudhanayagam,
his
dream
project.
The
senior
actor
was
asked
about
Marudhanayagam
during
the
live
chat,
and
he
finally
revealed
the
current
status
of
the
project.
According
to
Kamal
Haasan,
it
is
a
project
that
demands
a
massive
budget,
and
all
he
needs
to
revive
Marudhanayagam
is
money.
Haasan
stated
that
he
will
definitely
revive
the
project
if
he
gets
enough
funds.
Interestingly,
the
senior
actor
also
added
that
the
script
of
the
film
needs
to
be
changed
if
he
has
to
act
in
it
now.
It
is
because
the
script
is
written
with
a
40-year-old
man
in
mind,
and
he
is
already
in
his
early
60s.
If
it
doesn't
work
out,
he
will
have
to
find
another
actor
who
fits
into
the
role.
Marudhanayagam,
which
was
the
dream
project
of
Kamal
Haasan
was
officially
launched
in
1997.
The
movie,
which
was
said
to
be
a
period
film,
revolves
around
the
life
of
Mohammed
Yusuf
Khan,
a
warrior
who
lived
in
the
18th
century.
Even
though
the
film
started
rolling
in
the
same
year
and
the
team
shot
for
a
few
days,
it
was
dropped
eventually
due
to
the
financial
crisis.
The
rumours
which
suggest
that
Kamal
Haasan
is
all
set
to
revive
Marudhanayagam
started
doing
rounds,
after
a
poster
of
the
project
was
displayed
along
with
Sundar
C's
Sangamithra,
at
the
Cannes
Film
Festival
of
2017.
Kamal
Haasan
is
currently
going
through
a
tough
time
in
his
career,
after
his
ambitious
project
Indian
2
has
been
put
on
hold
post
the
crane
accident
on
the
sets.
The
actor
is
expected
to
be
seen
next
in
Vettaiyaadu
Vilaiyaadu
2,
which
marks
his
second
collaboration
with
filmmaker
Gautham
Menon.
