Suriya's Soorarai Pottru Trailer To Release On This Date?
Soorarari Pottru, the Suriya starrer directed by the talented filmmaker Sudha Kongara, is one of the most promising upcoming projects of Tamil cinema. The movie, which was originally slated to be released in April 2020, is now postponed due to the coronavirus threat. Reportedly, the much-awaited Soorarai Pottru trailer has finally got a release date.
If the latest reports are to be believed, the official trailer of the Suriya starrer has been slated to be premiered on July 23, 2020, on the occasion of its lead actor's 44th birthday. However, an official confirmation on the reports is yet to be made. However, it will be an absolute treat for the fans, if Soorarai Pottru trailer releases on Suriya's birthday.
Recently, it was rumoured that Soorarai Pottru will have a direct OTT release after the theater owners association had a fallout with the lead actor-producer Suriya. However, the actor-producer later dismissed the rumours in a live interaction with his fans and confirmed that the Sudha Konagara will have a theatrical release first.
Reportedly, the makers have decided to push the release of the Sudha Konagara directorial to the first quarter of 2021. The sources suggest that Suriya and the team are aiming for a Republic day release for Soorarai Pottru. If they fail to release the movie on January 26, 2020, it will get postponed again, to the first week of February 2021.
Aparna Balamurali has appeared as the female lead opposite Suriya in the Sudha Kongara directorial. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the songs and background score for the movie. Niketh Bommireddy is the director of photography. Sathish Suriya handles the editing. Soorarai Pottru is produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga, under the banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment.
