Master,
the
upcoming
action
thriller
that
features
Thalapathy
Vijay
in
the
title
role,
is
unarguably
one
of
the
most
anticipated
Tamil
films
of
2020.
The
release
of
the
movie,
which
was
originally
supposed
to
be
released
on
April
9,
2020,
has
been
postponed
now.
But
the
team
is
currently
busy
with
the
post-production
of
Master,
even
though
India
is
observing
complete
lockdown.
As
per
the
latest
reports,
the
all
India
lockdown
has
not
affected
the
post-production
activities
of
Master,
which
have
been
proceeding
in
a
full
swing.
According
to
the
latest
reports
published
by
TOI,
cinematographer
Sathyan
Sooryan
and
his
team
are
working
on
Digital
Intermediate
(DI)
works
of
the
Lokesh
Kanagaraj
directorial.
The
reports
also
suggest
that
music
director
Anirudh
Ravichander
and
his
team
are
currently
busy
with
the
final
sound
recording
works
of
Master.
Reportedly,
the
makers
are
determined
that
the
21
days
lockdown
should
not
affect
the
post-production
activities
of
the
project.
If
the
latest
updates
are
to
be
true,
the
release
of
Master
has
been
postponed
to
June
2020.
The
makers
have
decided
to
postpone
the
release
considering
the
all
India
lockdown
and
unavailability
of
overseas
releasing
centers.
However,
director
Lokesh
Kanagaraj
and
his
team
are
yet
to
make
an
official
confirmation
on
the
same.
Initially,
the
team
was
planning
to
release
the
much-awaited
Master
trailer
on
March
25,
Wednesday.
But
they
later
decided
to
cancel
the
plans,
considering
the
all
India
lockdown.
Instead,
the
Antha
Kanna
Paathakka
lyrical
video
was
released
on
the
social
media
platforms,
but
the
romantic
number
failed
to
repeat
the
success
of
the
first
three
singles.
Master,
which
is
said
to
be
an
out
and
out
action
thriller,
features
Vijay
in
the
role
of
John
Durairaj
aka
JD
Master,
the
Dean
of
a
college.
Vijay
Sethupathi,
the
supremely
talented
actor
is
appearing
as
the
lead
antagonist
in
the
project.
The
project
is
produced
by
Xavier
Britto
under
the
banner
XB
Creations.
