According to the latest updates, the actor will play the character 'Sumaar Moonji Kumar' from the popular movie Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, in the sequel of the project. However, Vijay Sethupathi will not play the lead role but will make an extended cameo appearance in the project, which is reportedly titled as Corona Kumar.
The project, which is produced by Gokul, reportedly revolves around the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, and how it affects the lives of the public, especially the alcoholics. The titular character Corona Kumar is the cousin of the character Sumaar Moonji Kumar from Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara. Along with Vijay Sethupathi, the other major faces of the acclaimed project will make a comeback on Corona Kumar.
Vijay Sethupathi will be next seen in highly anticipated upcoming action thriller Master, which features Thalapathy Vijay in the titular role. The Super Deluxe actor is appearing as the lead antagonist in the movie, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. As per the reports, Vijay Sethupathi is playing the role of Bhavani, a local goon in the movie, which is expected to hit the theaters for Pongal 2021.
The actor is also all set to make his Bollywood debut soon, with the highly anticipated upcoming Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. In Tamil, Vijay Sethupathi has signed some promising projects including Kamal Haasan's Thalaivan Irukkindran, Maamanithan, Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaaadhal, Tughlaq Darbar, and so on.
