Beast Release Date Out: Thalapathy Vijay-Pooja Hegde’s Actioner To Clash With KGF 2!

It's confirmed! Thalapathy Vijay's forthcoming film Beast will have a huge clash with Yash's highly anticipated actioner KGF: Chapter 2. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial will release in cinemas on April 13 ahead of Tamil New Year (Puthandu). Notably, the actioner is releasing on a Wednesday and therefore it will enjoy an extended weekend in theatres.

Confirming the big news, Beast's makers wrote on Twitter, "#BeastFromApril13" Along with the tweet, the makers unveiled a brand new poster featuring Vijay, who looks nothing but intriguing as he holds a rifle and looks on. In the tweet, the makers also tagged the core cast and crew members of the film including its director and leading lady Pooja Hegde.

Let us tell you that KGF 2 is releasing on April 14, and if the makers of the Sandalwood flick decide to go with the release date, the two films will have a historic clash. KGF 2 directed by Prashanth Neel and also featuring Bollywood actors like Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, is a sequel to the 2018 film KGF: Chapter 1.

Well, Beast recently made headlines after the makers unveiled its second single, 'Jolly O Gymkhana', which was well received by the netizens. The track crooned by the leading man himself has also become an instant chartbuster on YouTube. Earlier, the first single of Beast, 'Halamithi Habibo' had also garnered immense response on social media, especially on Instagram, where many were seen recreating the hook step of the peppy number.

Actor-turned-director Selvaraghavan is playing the main antagonist in the actioner, whereas Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko is appearing in a key role. The film's technical team consists of music composer Anirudh Ravichander and cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa. Kalanithi Maran's production banner Sun Pictures, which previously bankrolled Rajinikanth's Annaatthe is backing Beast.
