Directed by Jude Antony Joseph, the film stars Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Srinivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Lal, Indrans, Shivatha and many stars of Malayalam cinema. The director of the film presented it with proper mix of shock, resilience and humanity. With a cinema centered on nature's fury, he instills faith in humanity as much as possible.
Important Documentary To Beautiful Cinema
On the surface it may look like a documentary about the Kerala floods, but the director has brought this documentary to life with vivid characters, soulful scenes and small backstories. The fact that he has written the film very well can be felt in many characters.
A character who acts in an advertisement for an umbrella that protects against rain, then goes to a rescue mission while drenched in the same rain, a character who wants to fly away from this country and drowns to death, a character who only shows hatred towards everyone, changes because of this rain and the events that happen. Everything in this film is connected to water in some way. Even a cartoon running on TV. Also the way it was written how to connect with each character is special.
Real Incidents Connect With The Audience
The director has depicted many real incidents through the film. Fishermen leaving with their boats to rescue people, struggling to get a pregnant woman into a helicopter, thank you written on the floor with cloths are all moving.
In terms of acting, the scenes involving Naren, Asif Ali, Lal's family, the whole scene and the acting of the actors are very special. Apart from these, Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Aparna, Kunchacko Boban, Shivatha, Vineeth, Aju Varghese and Ramesh Thilak, who makes a special appearance, performed very well. Akhil George's cinematography captures the flood scenes beautifully. Accordingly, art direction and CG are perfectly intertwined. Many scenes in Nobin Paul's music touch us emotionally.
