800 Movie OTT Release Date: Here's When & Where To Watch Cricketer Muttaiah Muralitharan's Biopic

The movie titled '800' is the biopic of Sri Lankan Cricketer, coach, and member of ICC Cricket Hall Of Fame Muttaiah Muralitharan, known fondly as Murali. The movie underwent several stages of production changes, and controversies and finally hit the screens on October 6, 2023. The reception to this MS Sripathy's directorial was decent.

Upon its theatrical release, 800 earned some good critical reviews for bringing the legendary Cricketer's real life to the screen in a most endearing manner.

The movie was officially announced with Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as the lead but owing to several circumstances, he opted out of the project. Later Madhur Mittal was roped in and he did a brilliant job with this assignment in the role of Murali.

The much-awaited movie by the enthusiasts of the Cricket game will now make its grand OTT debut. The movie's digital rights are secured by JioCinema and it will start streaming on the platform from December 2.

800 Cast

Madhur Mittal played the role of Muttiah Muralitharan, the epic Cricketer of Sri Lanka. Mahima Nambiar played a dual role as Madhimalar and Radhimalar. Narain was seen as Velupillai Prabhakaran, and King Ratnam as Arjuna Ranatunga. In addition, actors like Nassar, Vadivukkarasi, Riythvika, Vela Ramamoorthy, Sharath Lohithaswa, Vinod Sagar, Hari Krishnan, Rithvik, Ananth Nag, Vinayak Venugopal, and Dileepan among others played important roles.

800 Crew

The movie was co-written and directed by MS Sripathy. Produced by Vivek Rangachari under the Movie Train Motion Pictures, the film's cinematography was handled by R D Rajasekhar and Praveen KL worked as the editor. Ghibran composed the film's entire music and background score.
