80s Buildup Box Office Collection Day 1: Santhanam’s Comedy To See A Decent Start Despite Strong Competition

It was a busy day for the Tamil box office wherein several interesting movies were hitting the screens today. Among these, Santhanam's recent release 80s Buildup has been making headlines for a while now. To note, 80s Buildup is helmed by Kalayan of Gulebhagavali fame.

The movie, which is set in 1980s, has managed to create a massive buzz with its intriguing trailer. 80s Buildup, which also stars Radhika Preethi, KS Ravikumar, Anandraj, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mayilswamy, Munishkanth, Sundarajan etc in key roles. 80s Buildup, which happens to be an enjoyable comedy drama, has opened to decent response from the audience.

Given the substantial buzz, this Santhanam starrer is expected to witness a good start at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, 80s Buildup is expected to rake in Rs 1.5 crores on the day of release.

Interestingly, 80s Buildup is facing a strong box office clash with movies like Joe, Conjuring Kannappan, Koiko etc. It will be interesting to see how 80s Buildup will fare in the coming days at the box office.

While Ghibran has composed the music, Jacob Rathinaraj has handled the cinematography. MS Bharathi and AR Mohan have handled editing and art direction respectively. Action choreography is by Ravi and Hari Dinesh. 80s Buildup is bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green and the digital rights have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video
