woke
up
to
a
piece
of
sad
news
on
March
24.
The
Thunivu
actor,
who
recently
returned
from
a
foreign
vacation
with
family
lost
his
father,
P
Subramaniam
(85).
P
Subramaniam
suffered
a
Paralysis
stroke
and
was
getting
treated
for
the
same
for
the
last
four
years.
Ajith's
family,
his
brother
Anup
Kumar
and
Anil
Kumar
released
an
official
statement
announcing
Subramaniam's
demise.
In
it,
the
family
thanked
the
doctors
for
taking
good
care
of
him.
The
statement
reads,"Our
father,
PS
Mani,
passed
away
in
the
early
hours
of
this
morning,
in
his
sleep,
after
a
long
illness.
He
was
85.
We
are
grateful
for
the
care
and
support
provided
to
him
and
our
family
by
a
number
of
medical
professiona;s,
especially
following
his
debilitating
stroke
of
four
years
ago.
We
are
comforted,
at
this
time
of
grief,
that
he
lived
a
good
life
and
knew
the
undying
love
of
our
mother,
his
partner
of
nearly
six
decades.
We
appreciate
the
kind,
comforting
messages
and
coloences
that
have
been
coming
in
and
ask
for
your
understanding
if
we
may
not
be
able
to
take
calls
or
respond
to
messages
in
a
timely
manner(sic)."
After
the
news
broke
out,
the
entire
Kollywood
industry
mourned
the
actor's
loss
and
sent
out
condolences
and
prayers
to
Ajith's
family.

a

and
Thalapathy
Vijay,
who
is
often
pitched
against
Ajith
by
his
fans,
came
down
to
Ajith's
house
to
pay
his
respects
to

Subramaniam
and
offer
support
to
Ajith.
The

Vijay
going
to
Ajith's
house
went
viral
on
the
internet.
All
the
relatives
and
well-wishers,
fans
of
the
actor
have
sent
condolence
messages
to
the
actor.

married

woman

in
Kolkata,

Bengal.
About
the
funeral,
the
family
members
said,
"His
last
rites
will
be
a
family
affair.
We
trust
that
all
who
have
known
loss
will
respect
out
wish
to
grieve
privately
and
deal
with
his
passing
with
as
much
equanimity
and
dignity
as
possible."
