In such a situation, AR Rahman has talked about his wife in a recent interview to a leading media portal. In it, he said, "My wife really takes style seriously. She's the one who decides my costumes. For almost 15 years, she's the one who buys me the clothes I need. She buys everything because she thinks it will look good on me.

If my wife asks me to buy a dress and wear it, I will. I won't refuse it. But she likes black color very much. So she often buys things in black color. So once I asked her if I can buy it in another color. She agreed and started buying it in many colors. She knows many things about me. My every move belongs to her."
