Rajinikanth has completed acting in an important role in Lal Salaam after Jailer which was released under the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar and became a huge success at the box office.

The film is directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in lead roles. It has been reported that Lyca's Lal Salam, with music by AR Rahman, will release next year during Pongal festival.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will be acting in his 170th film to be produced by Lyca in the direction of Jai Bhim TJ Gnanavel. While the pre production work of the film is going on in full swing, the film team is currently releasing the list of actors who are committed in the film. Accordingly, it has been officially announced that Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and Rana Dagupathi will act in Thalaivar 170.
