BUZZ: Nayanthara To Play Leading Lady In THIS Hit Director’s Next Movie?

Lady superstar Nayanthara is one of the top stars of India. With her exceptional acting skills and magnificent beauty, Nayanthara has occupied an irreplaceable position in fans' hearts. With her wedding with Vignesh Shivan and her welcoming her twin boys, there is no scarcity of news reports about her.

Recently, a report surfaced online suggesting that she will be starring opposite Kamal Haasan in the universal star's next movie with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The yet-to-be-titled film is one of the highly anticipated movies. And if this report on Nayanthara's on boarding turns out to be true, it will make the headlines as she will collaborate with Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan for the first time.

Moreover, this film will also be the first time that Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan and A R Rahman will be working together. TRahman has worked with Kamal Haasan in only one film - in Thenali in 2000. Hearsay also has that Trisha Krishnan has been approached to play another leading role in the movie. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara is presently awaiting the release of the Bollywood movie, Jawan. Starring Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, Jawan will mark the Bollywood debut of Nayanthara. The action thriller was written and directed by Atlee. Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani will also be seen in the movie. Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for Jawan. The actioner is scheduled for theatrical release on June 2, 2023.

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan also has Indian 2 in his lineup. Directed by Shankar, the film's production is underway. Mani Ratnam, meanwhile, is waiting for the release of Ponniyin Selvan 2. The historical fiction will hit the theatres on April 28. It has an ensemble of star cast including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, and Karthi.
