Chandramukhi 2 is the latest comedy-horror film starring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence in the lead roles. The sequel to 2006's super hit film was written and directed by P Vasu, who helmed the first with Rajinikanth in Tamil. Chandramukhi 2 hit the screens worldwide to great expectations on September 28 in Tamil and Telugu.

Upon its theatrical release, the movie was reviewed as a bad sequel to the epic film with substandard VFX and CG work. The performances of Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut are the only saving grace for this film which incurred a loss of about Rs 20 Crore at the box office.

Chandramukhi 2 Premise

Chandramukhi 2 depicts the revenge tale of Chandramukhi (Kangana Ranaut), who awakens in the infamous Rajamahal to avenge the death of her lover. She is determined to kill the ruthless Vettaiyar Raja (Raghava Lawrence). The epic tale is set against the backdrop of a family.

Chandramukhi 2 Hits Netflix; Trends Big Time

The digital streaming rights of the much-anticipated sequel with Kanagana Ranaut as Chandramukhi, are secured by the OTT giant Netflix. The movie started streaming on Netflix in multiple languages on October 26.

Ironically, Chandramukhi 2 movie is trending big time unimaginably on the digital streaming platform after it hit the OTT. Viewers and movie lovers have been watching the movie on the streaming app, pushing it to the trending top list.

The sequel stars Raghava Lawrence as Vettaiyan and Raja in a dual role. Kangana Ranaut will be seen as Chandramukhi. Vadivelu played the role of Murugesan. In addition, Chandramukhi 2 stars Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mithun Shyam, Mahima Nambiar, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, YG Mahendran, and TM Karthik among others. Late Manobala appeared posthumously in Chandramukhi 2.

Written and directed by P Vasu, the movie is a production venture of Subaskaran Allirajah under his Lyca Productions banner. RD Rajasekhar cranked the camera and Anthony worked as the Editor. Oscar Award-winner MM Keeravani worked as the film's music composer.
