Cooku With Comali Manimegalai Converted To Islam? Here's The Truth Behind 'Love Jihad' Controversy!
VJ Manimegalai posted about it on Twitter and said, "Should we wish for Ramadan only after converting? No one has converted. Hussain will come to the temple with me. We will celebrate Ramadan together. We are clear."
BJP political party people are publishing posts on social media saying that Manimegalai who got popular through Vijay TV's Cooku with Comali show has converted to Islam and this is Love Jihad.
When Manimegalai was working as a host on Sun Music TV, she fell in love with dancer Hussain. As their parents did not agree to this, the couple got married in 2017.
After her marriage, she left Sun Music and joined Vijay TV. Manimegalai participated in various shows including Cooku with Comali and gained a lot of fans with her sense of humor. A few weeks ago, she announced her exit from the now-airing show Cooku with Comali Season 4, which caused a stir.
Manimegalai fans were saddened by this. Manimegalai has yet to reveal the reason behind her exit from Cooku with Comali. They also shared a screenshot of Manimegali's Twitter post about their marriage and they captioned it, "Manimegalai... How did it start? How did it end? Love Jihadh. Enough of religious division". This is being shared by various parties like BJP supporters on social media.

When searching for the truth about this, it was revealed that Hussain-Manimegalai's wedding photo was shared on December 6, 2017. She captioned the photo, "Hussain & Me Got Married Today. Sudden Register Marriage. Failed to convince my Dad, went out of Hands, hence this decision. I strongly believe that he ll understand me 1 day. LOVE HAS NO RELIGION. I Love You Hussain. Sri Rama Jayam. Allah" and publicly announced their marriage.

Similarly, during the Ramzan festival in May 2020, Manimegal posted a photo of her wearing a headscarf and Hussain wearing a hat, and jokingly posted a video saying that everyone was asking her for biryani. Now her haters are sharing these 2 old posts and saying that she has changed his religion.

Manimegalai has never declared to have converted anywhere. Both of them are also informing about their every move on their YouTube channel. But there is no mention of conversion. Some people raised a controversy that she had converted to Islam because of her Ramzan greetings.
