Devayani Signs Deal With THIS Top TV Channel To Play Lead Role In New Mega Serial

Yesteryear movie star Devayani is one of the leading actresses in South India in the 90s. Apart from Tamil, she has starred in movies from other south Indian languages such as Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Bengali. She has starred in more than 100 films and she is still one of the most-loved actresses in Kollywood.
After her wedding with director Rajakumaran, Devayani took a sabbatical from movies and entered the small screens. She played the lead roles in several TV serals after she made her small screen debut with Sun TV's Kolangal. She also played the lead roles in other serials such as Rasathi which gave Devayani a huge reach.
She made a brief appearance in ZEE Tamil's Tamil serial Puduppu Ardhangal, which also ended recently. Though her appearances was rather brief, the episodes that she made appearance in, had huge reach and fans were happy to finally see her back on the small screens.
Now, according to media reports, Devayani has signed deal with ZEE Tamil for a new mega serial. It is also being reported that Devayani will be sharing the screen space with Viji Chandrasekar in the upcoming serial. No other details are updates are shared by the makers of the serial yet. It has also not been officially announced.
Meanwhile, Devayani also made a small appearance in the ZEE Tamil's serial Maari. She was also seen in a Malayalam movie. Titled Anugraham, the film marked Devayani's comeback to Mollywood. Also starring Aswin Jose, Gouri G Kishan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Lena, Devayani, and Johny Antony, the film hit the theaters on May 5. It explores themes like love and relationship, and how they vary from one generation to another. The film also stars Bitto Davis, Sudheesh, Jaffer Idukki, Manikandan, and Sheela. Actor Aswin has penned the script for Anuragam which has cinematography by Suresh Gopi and music by Joel Johns.
